In the last 12 months, Workato delivered 786 product updates influenced by 1,200 customer ideas, culminating in 12 major features. We’ve infused your workflows with intelligence, making them faster, smarter, and more secure. Here’s a glimpse into our new features:

Workato Agentic Orchestration: AI that Works for You

Agentic Orchestration allows you to build and deploy interactive AI agents that can perform actions and call workflows. These AI agents, known as “genies”, are capable of:

• Understanding Natural Language: Genies can interpret user requests and instructions, making them ideal for chatbots and other interactive applications.
• Retrieving Information: They can access and process information from various sources, including knowledge bases and databases.
• Taking Action: Genies can trigger workflows, update records, and perform other actions in your business applications.
• Adapting to Change: They can learn and adapt over time, becoming even more effective at automating your tasks.

Your Automation Copilots

Copilots are AI-powered assistants integrated into the Workato platform to guide you through your automation journey. They help you with building, connecting, and visualizing automations. 

• Recipe Copilot accelerates recipe creation by assisting with everything from trigger and action selection, to logic configuration and performance optimization.
• Recipe Sketches allow you to describe your desired automation and receive a visual outline, simplifying workflow design.
• Formula Copilot helps implement the correct formulas and functions for data manipulation.
• Connector Copilot enables rapid connector development for both experienced and novice SDK developers.

Intelligent Document Processing: No More Data Entry

Manual data entry is a thing of the past with Intelligent Document Processing (IDP). This tool automatically extracts information from documents like invoices, receipts, and contracts. IDP can:

• Handle Various Document Types: Whether it’s structured or unstructured, handwritten or printed, IDP can extract data from a wide range of documents.
• Recognize Different Languages: IDP supports multiple languages, making it ideal for global businesses.
• Ensure Accuracy: Each extracted field is assigned a confidence score, allowing you to build custom review processes to ensure accuracy.

API Management: A Unified Platform for API Innovation

Our API management platform received significant enhancements this year, making it easier than ever to create, publish, and manage APIs.

• API Proxy:  Publish APIs from other platforms and provides robust capabilities for managing your APIs. 
• API Proxy Transformation: Modify and transform API requests and responses as they pass through our API Proxy service. This provides greater flexibility, security, and control over your API interactions.
• API Gateway: Implement format conversions, mask sensitive data and more, while preventing API sprawl, ensuring low latency, and delivering high throughput.
• AI Gateway: Use AI ( LLMs, GPTs, or other AI applications) to handle routine API tasks. AI Gateway gives you complete control over how AI is invoked within workflows, registering APIs and recipes for agent-based applications. 

• Custom Authorization enforces additional authorization claims on API endpoints for enhanced security.

Connectivity: Connecting You to Everything

We also expanded our connectivity options, ensuring you can connect to virtually any system.

• EDI Connector : Our new EDI connector simplifies the exchange of business documents, enabling seamless operations with your trade partners.
• CodeGuard Sharing: This feature allows our partners to share custom connectors with more control, expanding the Workato ecosystem with valuable new integrations.
• SAP RFC Connector: The SAP RFC Connector now includes SAP Router support for enhanced security and connectivity. 
• SAP OData Connector: The SAP OData Connector now supports OData V4, expanding integration possibilities. 

Data Orchestration: Fueling Data-Driven Decisions

Workato’s Data Orchestration capabilities empower you to move and transform data from any source to any destination. Check out this year’s releases: 

• Data Pipeline Recipes: These new recipes simplify data movement from multiple sources to your data warehouse, enabling efficient data synchronization and analysis.
• Workato Data Hub powered by Reltio: This joint solution brings together Reltio’s Multi-Domain MDM and Customer 360 Data Product with Workato’s data orchestration capabilities to provide an end-to-end MDM solution to unify and activate trusted data across the enterprise.
• File Storage: Enhanced file storage capabilities with bulk and batch CSV actions and triggers. Now you can create and store data created in recipes as files and use the contents of a stored file recipes
• SQL Transformations: Leverage SQL queries to perform large-volume and complex transformations on data extracted from multiple different sources.
