Keep up with the latest updates we’ve made in Workato.
Retention period configuration now included in Event streams exports
Recipe Lifecycle Management exports involving Workato Event streams will now include retention period configurations in exports. This will help ensure consistent behavior when migrating topics.
Workato Pub/Sub is now Workato Event Streams
Workato Pub/Sub has been rebranded to Event Streams to reflect the product capability more accurately. Here's how the rebranding will affect users:
- Workato PubSub is now Workato Event Streams
- PubSub topics are now referred to as Event topics
- In Workato’s documentation, Event Streams have been moved from the connectors section to a dedicated Event Streams section.
Batch publish and new API for Workato PubSub
First, the new batch publish action allows you to send a batch of up to 100 events to a PubSub topic within one action. It's a valuable addition the Workato PubSub connector to go alongside the existing batch trigger.
Second, the PubSub API was moved to a totally new microservice resulting in increased throughput and up to a 50% latency decrease. The new API is now available on a new domain, event-streams.workato.com. Note that the old API version is still in operation and that both versions share the same auth tokens, data format, and endpoints to make it simple to migrate to the new API.
Workato Event Streams (PubSub) message size now higher at 512KB
For instances that need a higher payload capacity, the message size for Workato Event Stream events has been increased to 512KB.
Enhanced Workato Event Streams (PubSub) admin UI with control and monitoring capabilities
The new Workato Event Stream (PubSub) admin UI comes with an activity log for greater visibility—as well as the ability to preview messages, change topics' retention period and reset (purge) topics.
